Shalfleet Village Hall – Wedding Reception Package


  • Only suitable for Small Wedding Receptions.
  • Island Residents only.
  • Priority will be given to Shalfleet Residents and those getting married in St.Michael’s Church.

  • Free parking for up to 30 cars.
  • PPL & PRS licence included.
  • 48 hours from 1.00pm Friday to 1.00pm Sunday.
  • Hall opening times are 08.00am till 11.00pm. 
  • The Hall, grounds and car park must be vacated by 11.00pm.
  • Please complete the online booking request form, then confirmation and acceptance of booking will follow.
  • Once booking is confirmed a 50% deposit of £375.00 is required. Balance due 28 days before hire.
  • Cleaning charge of £100.00 if Hall is not left clean at end of hire.
  • Optional extras available to hire are Tablecloths @ £2.00 each, two 4mx10m Marquees @ £300.00 each, five Gazebos @ £40.00 each.
  • If Marquees are required then assistance erecting on the Friday morning would be appreciated. Minimum of 6 to 8 people required.
  • After 1st July the Marquees can be located anywhere in the meadow, earlier in the year the meadow may not be cut for hay so Marquees are restricted to the strip of mown grass in front of Hall.
  • Maximum seated capacity in the Hall is 60 people dependent on arrangement of tables.
  • If guests are charged for alcohol then a TEN (cost £21.00) is required from the IWC. No licence is required if alcoholic drinks are free.

 

RESTRICTIONS.

  • During the peak wedding season of July, August, September there is a maximum limit of 6 weddings per year (excluding Shalfleet Residents) and ideally only 2 per month.
  • Please biodegradable confetti only, no plastic confetti.
  • No vehicles, cars or lorries are allowed on the field without prior permission.
  • No hired marquees from external companies are permitted.
  • No overnight camping either by tent or van is permitted in the Hall, on the field or in the carpark.
  • The Hall is situated in a residential area and due consideration must be given to the neighbours. 
  • During the daytime, up to 9.00pm, music may be played in the grounds at moderate volumes up to a maximum of 45 decibels. IF speakers are used then they must face northwards, towards the main Yarmouth – Newport road.
  • If music is required beyond 9.00pm then all music is restricted to INSIDE the Hall only. Music must be turned down to HALF volume at 10.00pm and must finish before 11.00pm.
  • When leaving at night please leave quietly, and avoid slamming of car doors etc.
  • No stiletto heels please as they will damage the Hall floor.
  • Bluetac only on the walls, no sellotape.
  • There is a food waste bin in the kitchen, and recycling & non-recyclable bins outside. These bins may be used but are of limited capacity, so please take home any quantities of waste that will not fit in the waste bins.
