Shalfleet Village Hall – Wedding Reception Package


  • Hall and grounds are only suitable for Small Wedding Receptions.
  • Restricted to Shalfleet Residents and those getting married in St.Michael’s Church.
  • Maximum number of guests 80.
  • Wedding Package Cost = £750.00
  • Hire cost includes exclusive use of the Hall, the grounds, car park, kitchen, tables, trestle tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery & glasses and all facilities.
  • Free parking for up to 30 cars.
  • PPL & PRS licence included.
  • For Saturday wedding receptions, the hall is available for 48 hours from 1.00pm Friday to 1.00pm Sunday. Other days/times by arrangement.
  • Hall opening times are 08.00am till 11.00pm. 
  • The Hall, grounds and car park must be vacated by 11.00pm.
  • Please complete the online booking request form, then confirmation and acceptance of booking will follow.
  • Once booking is confirmed a 50% deposit of £375.00 is required. Balance due 30 days before hire.
  • Cleaning charge of £100.00 if Hall is not left clean at end of hire.
  • Optional extras available to hire are Tablecloths @ £2.00 each, four Gazebos @ £40.00 each.
  • Marquees may be hired from other companies and erected in the field at prearranged times. Do not allow marquee companies to drive any vehicles onto the field.
  • Marquees may be located anywhere in the field once the field is dry enough.
  • Maximum seated capacity in the Hall is 60 people dependent on arrangement of tables.
  • If guests pay for alcohol then a TEN (cost £21.00) is required from the IWC. No licence is required to drink alcohol, only if it’s sold.

 

RESTRICTIONS.

  • There is a maximum limit of 6 weddings per year and ideally only 2 per month.
  • Please biodegradable confetti only, no plastic confetti.
  • No vehicles, cars or lorries are allowed on the field without prior permission.
  • No overnight camping either by tent or van is permitted in the Hall, on the field or in the carpark.
  • The Hall is situated in a residential area and due consideration must be given to the neighbours. 
  • During the daytime, up to 8.00pm, music may be played in the grounds at low volumes. IF speakers are used then they must face northwards, towards the main Yarmouth – Newport road.
  • All music after 8.00pm is restricted to INSIDE the Hall only. Be aware that we and the Isle of Wight Council do monitor noise levels and carry out spot checks.
  • All music must be turned off by 10.30pm.
  • All people must leave premises & grounds by 11.00pm.
  • When leaving at night please leave quietly, and avoid slamming of car doors etc.
  • No stiletto heels please as they will damage the Hall floor.
  • Bluetac only on the walls, no sellotape.
  • There is a food waste bin in the kitchen, and recycling & non-recyclable bins outside. These bins may be used but are of limited capacity, so please take home any quantities of waste that will not fit in the waste bins.
